Job description

My client is a leading independent healthcare communications group with employees around the globe. Their clients are top global pharmaceutical companies, scientific societies and non-governmental organizations.

The recent successes of the business has led to continued expansion both in the range of services they offer and their global presence. They've reached the point where they are now looking to add a talented and enthusiastic Account Director.

As an Account Director you will be responsible for supervising a range of communications projects. The role would suit a candidate who enjoys multi-tasking and is motivated to drive the business forward. Combining expertise in project management, leadership skills, and science, you will deliver a range of scientific services to clients, including scientific and strategic consultation, publications planning for new and existing drug therapies, satellite symposia, conferences and medical education projects in both web and multimedia formats. You will serve as the primary client liaison point, maintaining and developing client relationships and you will provide research information from a variety of sources in order to provide expertise in therapy area(s) and product(s). You may also have line management responsibility.

To succeed in the role, a Bachelor's degree, preferably in life sciences (advanced degree) is preferred. You will also have significant experience in a medical communications agency or pharmaceutical marketing environment. In addition, a proven track record of exceptional staff, project and client management experience is required. To be successful you would need to have developed strategic communication plans and programs in a previous role. You should have good financial understanding and have had experience with budgeting. You will also be able to work well within a team and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.

In addition to a competitive package, they are known for their friendly and informal working environment. They also offer excellent opportunities for career and personal development, and a robust benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(K), vacation, holiday, and sick time
