JOB DESCRIPTION
This individual will be responsible for leading and executing the process development strategy for preclinical and clinical scale candidates in development. The Downstream Process Development Scientist will develop manufacturing processes to support manufacture of AAV based gene therapy products.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- PhD or MS with some industry experience
- Expertise in chromatography (affinity and ion exchange), tangential flow filtration, and dead-end filtration
- Good understanding of statistical methods in the application and design of experiments is a plus
- Experience executing standard viral vector characterization assays (e.g. cell-based assays, qPCR, HPLC, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, mass spectrometry and nucleic acid and protein sequencing) is desirable
